Terms of Use

1. Eligibility and Account Registration

1.1 You must be at least 18 years old and legally capable of entering into binding contracts under Egyptian law to create an account.

1.2 You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration (including pet identification data where applicable) and to keep this information up to date.

1.3 You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately at info@leonapetplan.com if you suspect unauthorized use.

1.4 Leona may suspend or terminate accounts that contain false, misleading, or fraudulent information.

2. Description of Services

2.1 The App allows you to: register your pet(s) and generate a Digital Pet ID; access your pet's Electronic Health Record (EHR); locate and connect with partner veterinary clinics, pet shops, and service providers; access partner discounts and wellness content; manage your Care Card subscription and benefits; and request Leona's dog license facilitation service.

2.2 Leona acts as a technology platform providing pet identification, health record, and partner network services.

2.3 Features, partner providers, and available products may change, be added, or be discontinued at our discretion, with reasonable notice for material changes.

2.4 Leona's dog license facilitation service allows you to request that Leona submit a dog license application on your behalf to the relevant government authority, for a separate service fee disclosed before you confirm the request. Leona acts solely as a facilitator; the license itself is issued by the government authority, not by Leona. Processing times, approval, and any government fees are determined by that authority.

3. Pet Identification Data

3.1 The App uses pet identification technology (such as nose print and facial recognition) to generate your pet's Digital Pet ID and verify pet identity for registration purposes.

3.2 By enrolling a pet, you consent to the capture, storage, and processing of this identification data for identity verification, fraud prevention, and provision of the services described in these Terms.

3.3 Pet identification data is processed under the data protection terms in Section 5 and is not used for any purpose beyond pet identification and the services described in these Terms without your explicit consent.

4. Care Card, Subscriptions, and Payments

4.1 Certain features (e.g., Care Card) require a paid subscription. Pricing, tiers, and billing cycles are displayed in the App at the time of purchase and may be updated with prior notice for future billing periods.

4.2 Payments are processed through Paymob, our third-party payment provider integrated into the App. Leona is not responsible for the security practices of Paymob beyond what is required by applicable law.

4.3 Subscription renewal, cancellation, and refund terms will be presented at checkout and are incorporated into these Terms by reference.

4.4 The dog license facilitation service is billed separately from your Care Card subscription, as a one-time service fee disclosed to you before you confirm the request.

5. Data Privacy

5.1 We collect and process personal data (including pet owner identity, contact details, payment information, pet health records, and pet identification data) as described in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms.

5.2 We process data in accordance with Egypt's Personal Data Protection Law (Law 151/2020).

5.3 We share data with partner veterinary clinics, pet shops, and service providers; the relevant government authority (only where you request the dog license service); and payment processors — each limited to what is needed for the applicable service.

5.4 You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data, subject to our legal and regulatory record-keeping obligations, by contacting info@leonapetplan.com.

6. User Conduct

You agree not to: submit false or falsified pet health/identity information; use the App for any unlawful purpose; attempt to reverse-engineer, hack, or interfere with the App's security or Digital Pet ID systems; impersonate another person or pet owner; or use automated means to access the App without our written permission.

7. Intellectual Property

7.1 The App, including its design, software, trademarks ("Leona," the Leona logo, "The Paw-fect Pet Protection"), and content, is the property of Leona or its licensors and is protected by Egyptian and international intellectual property law.

7.2 You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes in accordance with these Terms.

7.3 You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of the App, nor reverse-engineer or attempt to extract its source code, except as permitted by law.

8. Third-Party Services and Partner Providers

8.1 The App facilitates connections to independent third-party veterinary clinics, pet shops, and service providers. Leona does not employ these providers and is not responsible for the quality, accuracy, or outcome of the goods or services they provide.

8.2 Any dispute regarding services rendered by a partner provider should be raised directly with that provider; Leona will assist in good faith with facilitation but is not a party to that service relationship.

9. Disclaimers

9.1 THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE." TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY EGYPTIAN LAW, LEONA DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

9.2 Leona does not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation of the App, the accuracy of pet identification matching at all times, or the availability of any specific partner provider at any given time.

9.3 Nothing in the App constitutes veterinary, medical, financial, or legal advice. Always consult a licensed veterinarian for your pet's health needs.

10. Limitation of Liability

10.1 To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Leona's total liability arising out of or related to your use of the App shall not exceed the amount you paid for App-related subscription and service fees in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.

10.2 Leona shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, including loss of data, loss of profits, or harm to your pet arising from third-party veterinary services.

10.3 Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be excluded under Egyptian law, including liability for fraud or willful misconduct.

11. Term, Suspension, and Termination

11.1 These Terms remain in effect while you use the App. You may delete your account at any time through the App or by contacting support.

11.2 We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms, provide fraudulent information, or misuse the pet identification or service-request systems, with notice where reasonably possible.

11.3 Termination does not affect rights and obligations accrued prior to termination, including any dog license application already submitted on your behalf, which will continue to be processed per Section 2.4.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be notified through the App or by email at least 30 days before taking effect. Continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.

13. Governing Law and Disputes

13.1 These Terms are governed by the laws of the Arab Republic of Egypt.

13.2 Any dispute arising from these Terms shall first be addressed through good-faith negotiation, and if unresolved, shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts of Cairo, Egypt.
